The important of human resources function is varied and broad range from job analysis,recruitment selection and placement. Other critical function is to prepare and execution training and development program, compensation and benefit, until retirement program. One of success criteria in this area is determined by knowledge and skill to handle people.

Therefore, with this human resources job descriptions someone who beginning in this field professionally, should have master degree in human resources majoring. Beside that, they also should have some of skill since job analysis, recruitment, until termination process. 

In the recruitment, selection, and placement process, Human Resources Manager or those employee in this department, must have skill to select candidates who suitable with jobs requirement. Some of interview and observation skills, and also psychological testing skills, is key factor to get best candidates for company. So, with deep comprehension about capability of the candidates, someone who in charge to handle human resources job descriptions should place the candidates to fit position, suitable with their education, skill, experience, and character.

After join to the company, as a job description of human resources department is facilitating a new employee to integrate to their work and also to their social environment. They must incude as a part of big family in company that have specific work culture. In this new environment, is important for new employees to leave their old bad habits or work ethics that is not suitable with work atmosphere in new office. The new employee, with helped by human resources section, must adjust their capabilities and must show a take and give attitude to get better performance.

Another HR job description is work closely with another section in company. For example, develop partner relation with production section of a company to know about the requirements for temporary employees and other production needs. This is very critical especially when company have high demand to such product. For case example, the demand for shoes goes up tremendously before winter weather. In this case, when the shoes company can not provide its products in the market as much as demand, their competitors will grab the sales and make the company loose opportunity to get profit. Therefore, as HR job description to coordinate with all of departments, including production, logistic, marketing, IT, and Finance department, etc, to know their update requirements in staffing, and can quickly to fulfill another section staffing demand.

In addition jobs description, human resources section must have retention programs for skilled and talented employees. To keep such talented employees, the human resources department, and occasionally coordinate with board of directors, must revise about promotion guidelines, and giving reward criteria for all position, so that all employee have a clear comprehension about what kind of rewards that will give by company if they finish well some of critical jobs. Rewards for good employees performance must be ensured meets the mostly employees expectations . Beside of an external recruitment, retaining existing employees in a company’s key areas is better to the company. Human resources department shoud always try to promote experienced, senior, and best performer employees to fill such position in company. This will improve motivation and employee loyalty, and finally can improve productivity.
